Vincent VanBurik ran both track and cross country for CaseWestern Reserve in the late 1980s, earning a total of eight varsityletters. He was an NCAA Champion in the 800-meter run in 1987 and atwo-time All-American combined on the track. Overall, he was athree-time All-NCAC and four-time All-Ohio selection in crosscountry as well as a seven-time All-NCAC, one-time All-UAA andone-time All-Ohio selection in track. In 1987, VanBurik wasco-captain of CWRU’s eighth-place NCAA Division III crosscountry team.
