Jim Fox remains the most productive point guard in Spartanbasketball history and is one of only five CWRU student-athletes toearn Academic All-America® honors three times. A local productout of Willoughby, Ohio, Fox is the program’s all-time leaderwith 403 career assists. He also ranks 12th with 1,162 careerpoints and eighth with 110 three-pointers. A 1997 first-teamAll-University Athletic Association honoree, Fox averaged 17.4points and 5.8 assists during his senior campaign. He owns theprogram’s top-two single-season assist totals with 145 in1996-97 and 125 in 1995-96 as well as the school’ssingle-game record with 13 in 1996. Of his three AcademicAll-American® seasons, Fox was twice named a first-teamhonoree. In 1997, he won the CWRU Patricia B. Kilpatrick Award withthe highest four-year grade point average amongst all seniorstudent-athletes.
