Stephen Hufman was a two-sport standout for the CIT Rough Riders in the late 1960s and early 1970s. In track & field, Hufman won two Presidents’ Athletic Conference titles in the javelin throw in 1970 and 1971 as well as the individual championship in the discus in 1970. All told in his four seasons, he scored 50 points during conference championship action as part of three PAC Championship teams. He was also an All-Ohio performer in the javelin in 1971 with a fifth-place finish across all divisions. His personal-best javelin throw of 64.31 meters remained as the best pre-1986 mark in school history. Additionally, Hufman lettered for the swim team.
