Charlie "Chuck" Williams earned varsity letters for all fouryears in track & field and for three years in football atCase Western Reserve. He was the first CWRU NCAA Division IIITrack & Field All-American and a National Champion in thedecathlon his senior year while setting the Division III pole vaultrecord in the decathlon that would last for over a decade.  Hetrained under legendary coach Bill Sudeck and helped lead theSpartans to four straight Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC)titles from 1970-1974. Williams also served as a team captainand won multiple PAC individual titles,consistently scoring team points in the long jump,javelin, hurdles, pole vault, sprints, shot put and discus.
