Richard Kray earned a combined eight varsity letters and servedas a team captain for both football and baseball at Case WesternReserve in the late 1970s. On the gridiron, he earnedAll-Presidents’ Athletic Conference honors during both hisjunior and senior seasons and was named second-team on both offenseand defense as a sophomore. Kray was tabbed MVP of the PAC in 1977and became the first recipient of the Nip Heim Award.Statistically, he set the school single-season record with 165tackles. On the baseball diamond, he was named All-PAC as a junior.Kray was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.
