Fred DiSanto turned in a remarkable four-year career in which he became the only CWRU athlete to earn 12 varsity letters with four each in football, basketball and baseball. As a senior, he was the starting quarterback for the undefeated (9-0) 1984 team and was tabbed as the North Coast Athletic Conference Offensive MVP. During the 1983 campaign, DiSanto set nearly all of the school’s passing records and earned Offensive MVP honors from the Presidents’ Athletic Conference. Overall, DiSanto was a two-time All-American on the gridiron. On the hardwood, he was the pivotal sixth man for the Spartans during one of the team’s best seasons (17-9) in 1983-84. On the diamond, DiSanto was a four-time all-conference selection as a pitcher.
