Arthur Rosenberg exhibited a lifelong enthusiasm forintercollegiate athletics, especially at Western ReserveUniversity. Rosenberg earned three varsity letters for themen’s tennis team during his undergraduate years, and in1956, he won the Presidents’ Athletic Conference No. 6singles title. By capturing the title, Rosenberg became thefirst-ever WRU PAC Champion in tennis. Rosenberg received abachelor’s degree from Cleveland College in 1957 and amaster’s degree from Western Reserve in American Studies in1975. For a period of time, Rosenberg was a member of the SpartanClub’s Hall of Fame Selection Committee. His major passionwas his job as WRU’s Athletic Publicity Director (SportsInformation Director). He often travelled and covered the Red Cats,and his contributions shaped the Sports Information operations forgenerations of student-athletes.
