Erin Hollinger is the ultimate example of a student-athlete and one of the best student-athletes to attend Case Western Reserve University. A two-sport star, Hollinger competed for both the women's basketball and women's track and field teams, sometimes in the same weekend. Excelling at both sports, she earned All-America honors four times in the high jump, qualified for the national track and field meet six times, and was a two-time finalist for the prestigious Jostens Trophy, awarded to the best all-around Division III women's basketball player. Hollinger won five University Athletic Association individual titles, all in the high jump, and earned 10 All-UAA honors for top three finishes in her career, including setting school records in the indoor and outdoor pole vaults. On the basketball court, she was named to three All-UAA First Teams and one All-UAA Second Team, finishing her career second in program history with 1,421 points and 558 field goals made. A consistent performer throughout her four seasons with the team, Hollinger started 100 games for the Spartans, tied for the most in program history, and holds the program record with 173 career blocked shots. Embodying the complete student-athlete, Hollinger was a five-time CoSIDA Academic All-America selection, the most for anyone in CWRU history, earning First Team selection twice, Second Team selection twice, and Third Team selection once.
