Jim Sadowski was a standout basketball player for the CIT RoughRiders during the early 1960s. During his freshman season, hescored a career-high 31 points versus rival Western ReserveUniversity. Then in 1961, he helped lead the team to a 15-3 recordand a PAC Championship. In 1963, he was a first-team All-PACselection and the winner of the Joe Girlando Award (team MVP).Sadowski also competed for one season on the track & fieldteam, and he posted a career-best high jump of six feet in 1960.During his career, he had the honor of competing for two legendaryhead coaches in Bill Sudeck and Nip Heim. He graduated in 1963 witha bachelor’s degree in engineering science and later earnedhis master’s of engineering from CIT in 1967.
