Jim Baumeister and the CIT Rough Riders Ken Baumeister was a top singles and doubles player for the Rough Riders during the mid-1950s. Alongside partner Emil Bercezky, the duo went undefeated in doubles competition during the 1955-56 season then helped the squad to a 5-0 start and 6-2 overall record during the 1956-57 campaign under legendary Head Coach Doug Mooney. Baumeister continued to play competitively after graduation, and he was the top-ranked 55 and older singles player in the nation by the Western Tennis Association in both 1990 and 1991. He won a national public parks tournament in the 55 and older division as well as a United States Tennis Association 70 and older tournament.
