Erin Owen-Salters was one of the most decorated swimmers of herera. The Olmsted Falls-native earned All-American status in twoevents in 1985, placing fourth in the nation in the 200-yardbutterfly and fifth in the 100-yard fly. She entered the 1985 NCAAChampionship as the top seed in the nation in the 200 fly –becoming the first and only woman in CWRU history to accomplishthat feat. During her career, she set four school-records and her200 fly time of 2:09.67 stood for 16 years – the longeststanding women’s varsity record in program history.
