Peter Kummant, a four-year letterman in both cross country andtrack, was voted as the Nip Heim Award winner in 1979 asCWRU’s top athlete. He was a three-time cross countryAll-American and just missed a fourth honor during his seniorseason. On the track, Kummant was an All-American in the10,000-meter run, and he set school outdoor records in the 5,000m(14:33.40) and 10,000(30:32.00).
