CWRU Athletics

Helen Smith was an instructor in physical education from 1932until 1942, when she was promoted to assistant professor. In 1958,Smith was selected chairman of women’s physical education atMather College and held the position until 1970.  Smith wrotenumerous research publications and was instrumental in developingthe women’s intercollegiate athletic program at CWRU.
