In his three years at the fullback for the Case eleven, Ira Baker led the team to three state championships. “Bake” was captain of the 1905 squad whose near perfect 9-0-1 record included a 34-0 shellacking of a hard-hitting Western Reserve team. Baker’s talents weren’t confined to the gridiron either. He was the “number one” pitcher for the CIT varsity baseball team for three seasons.
