Norman Protiva earned three varsity letters on the hardwood forCIT in the late 1940s and early 1950s. Protiva set school recordsfor most points in a game and a single season, and he was fifth inthe nation in assists one season. A team captain, Protiva was atwo-time All-City Team selection and was chosen to play with theCollege All-American team. While at CIT, he was a member of the PhiDelta Theta fraternity, the Case Senate, the Blue Key, and theTheta Tau engineering fraternity.
