Milton Portman was a three-sport standout for Western ReserveUniversity. In track, he set two school records in one day at theBig Six Meet in Columbus. Those records in the hammer and discusthrows stood unchallenged for several years. He also helped WesternReserve to a pair of victories on the ice versus CIT in 1909 andwas selected to the WRU 50-Year Football All-Star Team at offensivetackle.
