Alicia Kendig is the most decorated women’s swimmer inschool history. An 11-time All-American, Kendig won the 2003 NCAAChampionship in the 500-yard freestyle and was national runner-upin the 1,650 free. The Lancaster, Pennsylvania native holds threeschool records in the 500 free (4:58.18), 1000 free (10:20.68) and1650 free (17:02.50) and was a national qualifier all four seasonsdespite suffering a serious injury as a senior. During her NCAAChampion junior season, Kendig was named CWRU’s Dorothy L.Hoza Award winner. For her career, the 2002 University AthleticAssociation Co-Swimmer of the Year finished as an 18-time All-UAAperformer with five conference titles.
