John Vaughn completed his entire junior and senior seasons withan undefeated record. As a junior, he won all 11 matches by pin andnot one of his opponents lasted until the final period.Vaughn’s senior year was even better. He repeated as the145-pound Interstate Champion and closed out his career with23-straight victories. The CIT Rough Riders also claimed theInterstate Championships, as the squad rode to glory underlegendary Head Coach Claude Sharer. Vaughn was inducted into theNational Wrestling Hall of Fame in 1992.  The Spartan ClubHall of Fame Room is named in his honor.
