Kelly Alexander was a 14-time NCAA Division III All-American during one of the most successful eras for the Spartan women’s swimming & diving program. A native of Huntsville, Alabama, Alexander earned All-American honors during each of her four seasons with eight individual finishes and as apart of six relay teams. Alexander’s top individual performance came during the 1999 NCAA Division III Championship when she finished fourth in the nation in both the 500-yard and 1,650-yard freestyle events. Alexander still ranks second in program history in the 500 free (4:59.89) and 200 free (1:53.86) as well as third in the 1650 free (17:14.33). She is also a member of three school-record relay quartets in the 200 free (1:36.78), 400 free (3:32.67) and 800 free (7:41.13). In 2001, Alexander was named Case Western Reserve’s Dorothy L. Hoza Award winner for her strong contribution to the women’s sports program, high level of academic achievement, leadership and service.
