Marcia J. Ruley played tennis, basketball and field hockey for Mather College during the early to mid-1960s. During her four years of athletics, she played either No. 1 singles or doubles at the state college tennis tournament each year and competed in four all-star basketball games. Ruley also served as Mather Student Government treasurer her junior year, was a member of the Sigma Psi sorority, and was president of the Mather Athletic Association her senior year. She became the first person to receive the Dorothy L. Hoza Award twice and earned the Mather Athletic Association Honor Key and the Emily Andrews Award.
