In his four-year varsity career, John Hollis broke almost everyCIT basketball record. He holds the distinction of being the onlyCIT player to score more than 1,000 points and finished with 1,170for his career. Hollis served as team captain during his seniorseason and scored a school single-season record 421 points.Overall, he accounted for one-third of his team’s scoring forthe season. Nominated for All-American honors, Hollis had manymemorable moments in his career, none better than his 48-pointscoring barrage against Mount Union as a senior. That scoring totalestablished a single-game mark in the Cleveland collegiatecircles.
