Eric Richardson was a standout for the CWRU track & fieldteam from 1972-1975. A four-year letterman for the Spartans,Richardson competed in the 100 and 200-yard dash, 4x440 relay, longjump, high jump and triple jump. He was the team’s MostValuable Performer all four years and was named MVP of thePresidents’ Athletic Conference his sophomore, junior andsenior years. An All-American in the 100-yard dash, Richardson ledthe Spartans to four PAC titles during his career. Throughout hiscareer, the Spartans remained undefeated in every dual, tri andquad meet as well as all four PAC Championship meets. Richardsonaveraged 22.5 points per-meet – the highest average in schoolhistory.
