Ken was a standout football and baseball player during his time at Case Western Reserve.  As a tight end on the football team, he was a three-time All-University Athletic Association First Team honoree, claiming the award each year from 1989-91, while also earning an All-North Coast Athletic Conference Honorable Mention each year during the time period.  Ken was named to the UAA 25th-Anniversary Team, finishing his career with 87 receptions for 1,285 yards and nine touchdowns, while leading the team in receiving yards during his junior and senior seasons.  On the baseball field, Ken was an all-NCAC third baseman, leading the league in batting average with a .421 mark during his junior season.  He played in 121 games over his career, recording a .331 batting average with nine home runs and 76 runs batted in.  Ken received the University’s Nip Heim Award in 1992, and the Arthur Leary Award in 1991.  He graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1992 and received his MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management in 1994.
