Gordon Daily's prowess at the plate resulted in a legendary career for the CWRU outfielder. At the time of his selection into the Hall of Fame, he is the program's all-time leader in career slugging percentage (.756) and home runs (22) and ranks second in school history in career on-base percentage (.495). He also ranks third in school history in career batting average (.404), stolen base percentage (.910), and stolen bases (61), fifth in triples (9), seventh in runs scored (121), ninth in total bases (251), and 14th in doubles (33). His 1999 season ranks as one of the best by a Spartan hitter, as he set a school record with a .837 slugging percentage while batting .463 (fourth in school history) with a school-record six triples and 31 stolen bases (second in school history). Daily was a two-time All-UAA First Team selection and received the CWRU Arthur P. Leary Award in 1999.
