Joe Poremba’s skills as a lineman were so admired that inhis senior season, he was selected as the Most Valuable Player inthe fierce Big Four, an honor typically reserved for a back.Poremba also collected All-Big Four and All-Ohio honors two yearsrunning and was selected CIT’s captain and Les Bale Awardwinner as a senior. He was also a two-year letterwinner in hockeyand a key member of the 1940 CIT Ohio Conference Champion team.
