Dennis Pardee starred for the CIT Rough Rider football team ineach of his four seasons (1951-53, 1955). In fact, his very firstcollegiate rushing attempt in 1951 resulted in a touchdown whilehelping CIT defeat the University of Akron, 21-14. In 1953, Pardeeled the Big Four in rushing as well as total offense and was secondoverall in scoring. He was a unanimous All-Big Four selection andreceived the Les Bale MVP award. Pardee also lettered twice intrack & field while at CIT. Pardee declined an offer from theNFL’s Baltimore Colts so that he could finish his course workat CIT. After graduation, Pardee served a distinguished career inthe United States Marine Corps and was awarded the Bronze Star andPurple Heart for action at Khe Sanh, Vietnam. Pardee played eightseasons of football while in the service and was a member of fourchampionship teams. He later went on to work at the Youngstown,Ohio Air Force Reserve Base as a senior civil engineer.
