Doug Leary was an All-American in cross country and a co-captainof the cross country and track teams. A two-time Presidents’Athletic Conference champion in outdoor track in both the half-mileand the mile, he also was a two-time city champion in the mile. Histeams won four PAC cross country and three PAC track titles, andthe harriers went undefeated in conference dual meets. Leary heldthe school record in the 1,500 meter-run (3:54.3), which isequivalent to a 4:12 mile, and was named MVP of the track team as asenior.
