Matt Jurcak is one of the most accomplished athletes in the history of the CWRU track and field program. At the time of his selection to the Hall of Fame, he was one of just 10 student-athletes in CWRU men's track and field history to earn multiple All-America honors, and the only Spartan to ever claim an All-America honor in a hurdle event. He secured All-America acclaim with fifth-place finishes in both the indoor 60-meter hurdles and the outdoor 110-meter hurdles in 2012. Jurcak won the UAA Championship in the 55-meter hurdles in 2009 and was a seven-time All-UAA honoree over his career. At the time of his selection, he still holds the school records for the outdoor 110-meter hurdles and the indoor 55-meter and 60-meter hurdles. Jurcak was selected to the Academic All-America Second Team following the 2012 season.
