Jon Gellin was a five-time All-American for the CWRU swim team. One of the best distance freestylers and individual medley swimmers in CWRU history, Gellin still holds the school record for the 1,650-yard freestyle (15:58.91). His records in the 500 freestyle (4:35.57) and 400 individual medley (4:04.80) stood for more than a decade before being broken in 2014. A native of Buffalo, New York, Gellin also performed on the national stage finishing as high as fourth in the nation in the 1,650 free and eighth in the 500 free. Gellin and his wife, Kelly Alexander (CWRU ’02), have a five-year old son, David. Kelly was inducted into the Spartan Club Hall of Fame in 2013.
