Andres ‘Desi’ Molina was a three-time University Athletic Association Champion at the 197-pound weight class, earning a spot on the conference’s 25th Anniversary Team.  Over his four years as a Spartan wrestler, he went 11-1 at the UAA Championships, notching six pins.  He finished his career with a 109-37 record all-time, good for a .747 winning percentage, and was a two-time qualifier for the NCAA Division III Championships.  During his senior season, Desi went 34-4 with 26 of his wins by pin, including 19 in the first period, and placed second at the 2001 NCAA Division III Midwest Regional.  Desi served as the team captain during his senior year, helping lead the squad to a 14th-place finish in Division III.  He was the 2001 Philip K. “Nip” Heim Award winner, for his leadership and overall contributions to the program.
