Pearce Leary lettered eight times as a member of the CIT crosscountry and track teams from 1967-1971. Leary also competed at theNCAA Championship Meet for each team. In cross country, he servedas team captain during his sophomore through senior years andearned All-Presidents’ Athletic Conferences honors threetimes. Leary was named All-PAC four times as a member of thevarsity track & field team, and he was honored with theChurchill Award his sophomore season as the most outstanding trackathlete. Leary eventually graduated from the Case School of Law in1974 and went on to serve in the United States Navy.
