CWRU Men’s Track and Field 2024-25 Indoor Season Recap

Four members of the Case Western Reserve University men's track and field team were recognized by the conference during the 2024-25 indoor season and one school record fell during the campaign.

At the University Athletic Association Championships, hosted by the University of Chicago on March 1 and 2, CWRU placed fifth with 58.0 points. Sophomore thrower Toby Langsner had the team's best finish, placing second in the weight throw to earn his first career All-UAA honor. Langsner also earned points for the team in the shot put, placing sixth. A trio of Spartans took third on the track during the championship. Junior Josh Bates was third to cross the line in the finals of the 400-meter dash, earning his third career All-UAA selection. In the finals of the 60-meter hurdles, junior Bryce Hodge finished third for his second career conference accolade. And in the mile run, first-year Donovan Crowley earned the bronze medal in his UAA Championships debut.

Four additional members of the team scored at the conference meet. Senior Aidan Nathan finished sixth in the 3,000-meter run and seventh in the 5,000-meter run to add five points to the Spartan score. Sophomore Tanush Anand cleared 1.94 meters in the high jump to finish fifth, and senior Quaylen Lamarre placed seventh in the pole vault by clearing 4.46 meters. Senior Kwabena Agyemang was sixth in the weight throw with a toss of 14.00 meters.

At the All-Ohio Championships earlier in the season, Anand broke his own school record in the triple jump by bounding 13.89 meters. He posted a mark of 13.88 meters in the season-opening meet which bested the record of 13.71 meters set by Ananth Suresh in 2019. On January 25, Case Western Reserve placed first out of six schools at the Fighting Scots Invitational, hosted by the College of Wooster, the squad's best finish during the campaign.

In the classroom, 27 members of the team received UAA All-Academic recognition, and five Spartans were honored by the College Sports Communicators as Academic All-District selections.
