Was a four-year member of the cross country team and a two-year member of the track & field team at North Catholic High School, serving as a captain of the cross country team as a senior...Coached by Stacy Kopchak, Joella Baker, and Tim Souders...Placed 24th at the 2022 Cross Country State Championships...Named his team's Most Valuable Performer for cross country and track & field as a senior...Placed 20th in the 3200m run at the 2022 Track & Field State Championships...Recorded career-best times of 16:24 (a school record) in the 5K during the cross country season and 9:45 in the 3,200m run (a school record) during the track season...Was his high school's valedictorian...Member of the National Honor Society and an AP Scholar with Distinction...Also swam and competed in the triathlon in high school.

Personal

Born November 16...Son of Bill and Laurie Schessler...Has been on an elite triathlon team for eight years and represented Team USA at the 2022 World Triathlon Championships in Montreal.
