The Case Western Reserve University men's and women's track and field teams opened the outdoor season on Friday and Saturday with the Washington Track and Field Carnival hosted by Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.
The Spartans won seven events at the unscored meet and totaled 13 top-three finishes.

Spartan Notes
- DeCarlo recorded the third-best mark in the pole vault in school history and the best by a Spartan since 2015
- Callo cleared the fifth-highest bar in program history in the pole vault
- Geoffrion had the seventh-best long jump in program history and recorded the 10th-fastest 100-meter dash time of 11.05 seconds
- Crowley ran the 10th-fastest time ever by a Spartan in the 5,000-meter run
