Prior to CWRU

Was a four-year member of the Hilliard Davidson High School cross country and track & field teams, serving as a captain during his junior and senior seasons...Coached by Pat Schlecht...Was a three-time all-conference runner for cross country, and earned all-district honors in 2020...Was also a state qualifier in the indoor 1600m run in 2020 and 2021, and claimed all-conference and all-district honors in the event in 2021...Helped lead his team to a state runner-up finish for cross country in 2017 and 2018, and to a third-place finish in the indoor 4x800m relay in 2021...Also set a state record as a part of the 4x1600m relay team in 2021...Recorded career-best times of 16:15 in the 5K during the cross country season, and 1:59 in the 800m run, 3:09 in the 1200m run, 4:22 in the 1600m run, 9:39 in the 3200m run and 15:36 in the 5000m run...Received Academic All-State honors in 2020 and 2021 and graduated summa cum laude.
