The sixth-ranked Case Western Reserve University men's tennis team, ranked sixth in Division III, picked up a signature win to wrap up its regular season on Saturday, besting fifth-ranked Carnegie Mellon University 5-2 at the Mayfield Village Racquet Club in Mayfield, Ohio.
The Spartans ended their regular season with a 24-7 overall record, while the Tartans saw a three-match winning streak come to a close, as the team dropped to 13-3 overall.

Junior Trey Lambright and graduate student Bryce Ware, ranked third in the Central Region, claimed the lone doubles win for the Spartans with a victory against Akshay Joshi and Ian Miller at no. 1 doubles.

Ware would get the Spartans on the board with a win at no. 6 singles, and victories from sophomore Rowan Matorin and graduate student Ansh Shah at no. 4 singles put CWRU a win away from clinching.
