Biography

Prior to CWRU


Came to CWRU as a graduate transfer from Kansas Wesleyan University (NAIA), where he was a three-year member of the men’s tennis team from 2021-24… Graduated from the program as one of the top players in program history, posting a 121-30 career record… Was a two-time Kansas Conference Player of the Year and a two-time NAIA All-American (first team in 2024 and second team in 2023)… Named to the CSC Academic All-America team twice… Was the ITA Most Improved Player in the  Central Region and a recipient of the ITA Arthur Ashe Jr. Leadership Award… Named the KCAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year twice… Ranked as high as eighth in the NAIA in singles… Attended Canyon High School, where he was a four-year member of the tennis team and served as a captain during his junior and senior campaigns… Coached by John Gonzalez… Was a two-time state champion and a two-time all-state first team honoree… Went 52-3 during his senior campaign… Graduated in the top 10 in his class… Also received coaching from Alynna Phouthakio.
