The Case Western Reserve University women's tennis team began the fall portion of its 2026-27 schedule with action at the Allegheny Invite on Sunday at the Robertson Tennis Courts in Meadville, Pennsylvania.

CWRU competed against players from Division II schools Mercyhurst University and Tiffin University and Division III Allegheny College.

Stats and Standouts

• First-year Allison Wayne and first-year Shayli Dodia each won a singles match and won their doubles match as a partnership
• Sophomore Atra Biria added a win in her lone singles match
• Sophomore Gabby Lee and junior Maya Brink each went 1-0 in singles matches and 1-1 in doubles play
• Junior Sara Fernandez and sophomore Trisha Vellanki won their lone doubles match together

Spartan Notes

• First-years Katie Ruci and Daryana Skobeleva, junior Yasemin Bilgin, and senior Katie Wong added victories in doubles matches
• Along with Wayne, Dodia, Ruci, and Skobeleva, sophomore Rasika Anandakumar and graduate student Victoria Vasquez made their debuts with CWRU
• Overall, CWRU went 5-5 in singles matches and 5-7 in doubles matches at the invite
