The Case Western Reserve University women's tennis team finished its fall season with a day of competition at the CMU Invite hosted by Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh on Saturday.
CWRU played against student-athletes from Carnegie Mellon and Division II Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Slippery Rock University at the invite.
Stats and Standouts
- Senior Katie Wong and graduate student Victoria Vasquez won 6-4 over Rachel Li and Shelly Zinchenko from Carnegie Mellon
- First-year Shayli Dodia and sophomore Gabby Lee defeated CMU's Kotistha Modak and Bella Nichilo 6-4 in doubles play
- Junior Maya Brink and first-year Daryana Skobeleva added a 6-1 victory over Leane Ben Ammar and Madison Warren from Slippery Rock
- Sophomore Atra Biria and first-year Katie Ruci won 6-2 over Sophia van der Berg and Noemi Gordan from SRU
- CWRU went 4-5 in doubles play at the invite

With the fall season officially complete, the team will return to intercollegiate competition in February with a dual match against Wilmington College.
