The Case Western Reserve University men's tennis opened its 2026 fall campaign at the Denison Invitational in Granville, Ohio, this weekend.

Stats and Standouts

• The Spartans finished the weekend with a combined 26-11 mark in singles matches and an 8-11 record in doubles play.

• Sophomore Shay Gupta and first-year Revanth Kothapalli each went 3-0 in singles matches during the weekend.

• Going 2-0 in singles play for the Spartans were seniors Trey Lambright, sophomores Ethan Jacob, Xander Jhaveri, and first-years Jaden Dai, Arnav Arora, Daniel Zhang, and Langston Walter-Wu.

• The CWRU pairing of Dai and Zhang went 2-0 in doubles action during the weekend.

Spartan Notes

• Other teams in action at the event included Denison, DePauw, Kenyon, and Carnegie Mellon.

• Several Spartans made their collegiate debut during the tournament, including Rishi Palle, Dai, Harry Glickstein, David Bell, Arora, Zhang, Evan Kaufman, Kothapalli, and Walter-Wu.

• Lambright was the line returning player from the Spartans' NCAA Tournament lineup that was in action over the weekend. Several other returners from the lineup, including senior Santiago Salazar Garza and juniors Leon Chen and Rowan Matorin, were held out of competition this weekend.
