Senior Katalina Wang of the Case Western Reserve University women's tennis team advanced to the third day of the singles draw of the 2025 ITA Central Regional Championship on Saturday at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center in St. Louis.

Stats and Standouts

• Wang, seeded ninth in the draw, defeated Emily Chiasson of WashU in the round of 32, 7-5, 7-6 (7-5)
• She will face seventh-seeded Abigail Penados from North Central in the round of 16 on Sunday with the quarterfinal round scheduled for later in the day
• Wang and first-year Gabby Lee reached the quarterfinals of the doubles draw by defeating Clare Hudson and Kiara Komlodi of Kenyon, 8-6
• The Spartan duo fell to the top-seeded pair from WashU, 8-7 (7-3) in the quarterfinal round
• In the consolation doubles bracket, Wong and first-year Emma Thoms won a pair of matches to advance to the semifinals on Sunday
• Junior Katie Wong, first-year Atra Biria, and first-year Tara Markovic all dropped their matches in the round of 32 in the main singles draw on Saturday
