Fourteen Case Western Reserve University student-athletes were named to the 16th annual University Athletic Association Presidents Council Scholar-Athlete Team, which recognizes the top-achieving athletes in the conference during the 2024-25 academic year, both in the classroom and in competition.
Student-athletes recognized included Jack Anderson (baseball), Anmay Devaraj (men's tennis), Rachel Ginn (women's track & field), KaiLi Gross (softball), Nick Harms (baseball), Casey Hishinuma (men's tennis), Lauren Iagnemma (women's cross country/ track & field), Katelyn Lamm (softball), Ajay Mahenthiran (men's tennis), Rea Marfatia (volleyball), Lily McCloskey (women's tennis), Lexi Miskey (softball), Amanda Ngo (volleyball), and Abigail Wilkov (swimming & diving).
To be eligible for the UAA Presidents Council Scholar-Athlete Team, student-athletes must earn first-team All-Association honors (or win a UAA Championship in an event in track & field and swimming & diving) and must carry a 3.50 or greater cumulative grade point average during that playing season. Student-athletes must have completed one full year at that institution to qualify.
It marked the ninth consecutive season that CWRU has placed 10 or more student-athletes on the team and the 11th time in the 16-year history of the award.
Among the CWRU honorees were six repeat winners. Anderson and Gross each secured the award for the fourth time over their respective careers, while Harms, McCloskey, and Miskey received the honor for the third time. Mahenthiran was named to the UAA Presidents Council Scholar-Athlete Team for the second time. Two of the CWRU honorees - Harms and Lamm - were recipients of a top UAA individual performer award (e.g., MVP, Most Outstanding Performer).
The 2024-25 UAA Presidents Council Scholar-Athlete Team consisted of 152 honorees representing each of the eight schools in the conference. The UAA Presidents Council created the special recognition in 2009, following a recommendation from the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee that was supported by the Athletic Administrators and Delegates Committees.
