Six members of the fourth-ranked Case Western Reserve University men's tennis team received All-University Athletic Association honors for the 2025 season, while Todd Wojtkowski and his assistants were named the UAA Coaching Staff of the Year, after leading the Spartans to the second UAA Championship in program history in late April.
Earning first-team acclaim were junior Anmay Devaraj (no. 3 singles and no. 1 doubles), senior Ajay Mahenthiran (no. 1 singles), and senior Casey Hishinuma (no. 1 doubles). Hishinuma also earned a spot on the second team for his play at no. 5 singles with first-years Leon Chen and Jon Totorica claiming All-UAA second team acclaim for their play at no. 2 doubles. Junior Matthew Plunkett was named an honorable mention to the all-conference teams for his play at no. 5 singles.
Wojtkowski and assistants Aris Jhaveri, Saumil Jhaveri, Diego Maza, Jackson Schuetzle, and Ansh Shah claimed the UAA Coaching Staff of the Year Award for just the second time in program history. The staff had previously secured the honor in 2023, also after winning the conference title. After entering the 2025 UAA Championship as the second-seeded team, the group helped to lead the Spartans to three-straight wins over nationally-ranked teams, including a 4-1 victory over top-seeded and then fourth-ranked Chicago in the title match.
Devaraj went 2-0 in singles matches at the UAA Championship, winning the no. 3 match against both Emory in the semifinals and Chicago in the championship. He stands at 19-9 overall in singles play this season, including an 11-6 mark in no. 3 singles matches this season. This was his first career All-UAA singles honor.
Mahenthiran claimed All-UAA singles honors for the third consecutive year after being named to the first team in 2024 and the second team in 2023. He went 2-1 in singles matches during the UAA Championship, including victories over 40th-ranked Dean Kamenev of Emory and sixth-ranked Alexander Ekstrand of Chicago. Mahenthiran is 22-11 overall this season and ranked 14th among Division III singles players this season.
Hishinuma and Devaraj were 1-1 in no. 1 doubles matches at the UAA Championship with a victory over Emory's Ruilin Feng and Christian Liew, ranked ninth in Division III. The duo is ranked 10th in Division III this season and is 14-4 as a pair in 2025. This was the second straight season that Devaraj has earned All-UAA honors for his play at doubles, while Hishinuma claimed his first doubles all-conference honor.
Hishinuma was named to the All-UAA Second Team for his play at no. 5 singles for the second consecutive year after winning all three of his matches. He leads all CWRU players in singles wins this season with a 26-6 record, including a 15-1 mark at the team's fifth singles player.
Chen and Totorica are ranked 24th in Division III in doubles play and stand at 15-4 overall together this year, including a 6-2 mark at no. 2 doubles. The pairing went 2-0 at the UAA Championship with wins against Brandeis and Chicago.

He is 21-5 overall this season, including a 12-2 mark in fourth singles matches, and has won 13 consecutive matches.
The Spartans stand at 25-5 overall and qualified for the NCAA Division III Championship for the fifth consecutive year and the eighth time overall in program history. After receiving a first-round bye, the Spartans will host the winner of the match between 53rd-ranked Whitman and Ohio Northern on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
