The Case Western Reserve University men's tennis team, ranked fifth in Division III, was officially selected to the field for the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championship and will host the first three rounds of the tournament at the Carlton Courts from Friday, May 8, through Saturday, May 10.
The Spartans received one of the nine at-large bids to the field after finishing their season second in the University Athletic Association and notching a 26-8 overall record. CWRU will be making its sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and the ninth overall in program history. This is the fifth straight season that the Spartans will host the opening three rounds of the tournament.
CWRU will receive a first-round bye before facing the winner of Friday's 10:00 a.m. first-round match between 35th-ranked Lake Forest College (16-6) and 72nd-ranked Ohio Northern University (13-8). On the other side of the draw, Whitman College (17-5) and Asbury University (13-5) will play in the first round on Friday at 2:00 p.m., with the winner advancing to the second round to face the 13th-ranked University of Mary Washington (20-6) on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
The third-round match will be held on Sunday at noon, and the winner will head to the Champions Tennis Club in Chattanooga, Tennessee for the quarterfinals on Tuesday, May 19.
