The Case Western Reserve University women's tennis team opened the fall portion of its schedule with competition at the Kenyon Invitational in Gambier, Ohio, on Saturday and Sunday.
Overall, the Spartans went 32-5 (.865) in singles matches and 19-2 (.905) in doubles matches. The invitational featured players from nine schools including CWRU, Allegheny College, Carnegie Mellon University, Denison University, John Carroll University, Kenyon College, Oberlin College, Otterbein University, and the College of Wooster.
Senior Pallavi Goculdas, juniors Hannah Kassaie, Radha Patel, and Anna Kan, sophomores Katalina Wang, Elsa Syed, and Ellior Rose, and first-year Kareena Sivanesan were all undefeated in singles play, winning either two or three matches each.
In doubles play, the partnerships of Kassaie and junior Lily McCloskey, Kan and sophomore Asha Shukla, Goculdas and senior Katherine Wang, Syed and first-year Prachi Shah, and Rose and senior Caitlyn Hsu all went 3-0 during the invite.
CWRU will continue its fall season next weekend, traveling to Granville, Ohio, for the Big Red Invitational hosted by Denison.
