The Case Western Reserve University men's and women's swimming and diving teams wrapped up the 2026 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis with one All-America honor.
Senior John Drumm placed 11th in the timed final of the 1650 Free after completing the race in 15:42.78. Drumm earned All-America Second Team honors for the finish, his third overall All-America recognition at this year's national championship and the seventh of his career. Among all-time members of the CWRU men's swimming and diving team, Drumm is tied for third in total All-America honors. It also marked the third consecutive season a Spartan has placed in the top 16 in the event after Peter Meng accomplished the feat in 2025 and 2024.
Overall, the CWRU men's team placed 33rd in the team standings with 22.0 points. The Spartans placed in the top 35 nationally for the third year in a row, scoring at the national championship for the 27th time in program history.
The Spartan women's team tied for 23rd in the overall standings with 21.0 points. Case Western Reserve has finished in the top 25 in each of the last three seasons, scoring at the last seven NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. The squad has now scored at 21 championships in its history.
Drumm was also the anchor for the 400 Free Relay which placed 19th nationally in 3:01.06. He was joined by first-year Trevor Novak, senior Mason Bencurik, and senior William Froass. Individually, Novak placed 36th in the 100 Free with a time of 45.75 seconds.
Senior Claire Kozma of the CWRU women's swimming and diving team finished 28th in the 100 Free in 51.11 seconds. She led off the 400 Free Relay and was joined by senior Eliza Dixon, junior Sheila Monera Cabarique, and first-year Sohalya Rawlins. The Spartan quartet finished 17th in 3:26.25, missing the consolation final by 0.10 seconds.
