Case Western Reserve University first-year diver Ryan Wells secured his place at the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Championships with his performance at the 2026 NCAA Division III Region 1 Diving Championships held at the Kalamazoo Natatorium on the campus of Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan on Friday and Saturday.
Wells was among three Spartan divers to compete at the regional meet. He was joined by junior Jack Rudofsky and first-year Jayna Kawas. Wells placed sixth in the 1-meter dive with a score of 426.45 and seventh in the 3-meter dive with a score of 432.55 to be one of the eight divers selected to the national championship.
Rudofsky finished 13th in the 3-meter dive with a mark of 403.80 and 21st in the 1-meter dive with a mark of 337.80. Kawas had scores of 358.40 in the 3-meter dive (19th) and 344.65 in the 1-meter dive (27th).
The 2026 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships are scheduled to be held at the IU Natatorium on the campus of IU Indianapolis in Indianapolis from March 18-21. Wells will join 12 swimmers from the CWRU men's and women's swimming and diving teams who were announced as participants in the national meet on Friday.
