The Case Western Reserve University men's tennis team, ranked fifth in Division III, continued its strong start to the season on Saturday, besting Lake Forest College 7-0 in Oberlin, Ohio, in the morning and the University of Rochester 7-0 at the Mayfield Village Racquet Club at night.

The Spartans will head into next weekend's ITA Indoor National Championship with an 8-0 record. Lake Forest fell to 0-2 with the loss, while Rochester dropped to 2-1.

• CWRU went 12-0 in singles matches and 6-0 in doubles contests on Saturday.

• Senior JT Bilski and junior Santiago Salazar Garza each won a pair of singles matches during the day with eight other players earning a singles victory on Saturday.

• The Spartans' doubles combinations of sophomores Leon Chen and Jon Totorica, junior Trey Lambright and graduate student Bryce Ware, and seniors Rohan Bhat and Anmay Devaraj each went 2-0 over the two matches.

The Spartans will now turn their attention to the ITA Indoor National Championship, which will be hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, next weekend. CWRU, the third-seeded team at the event, will open play on Friday, February 20, against 11th-ranked and sixth-seeded Johns Hopkins University.
