#5 Men’s Tennis Improves to 6-0 with 7-0 Wins over Kalamazoo & Allegheny

The Case Western Reserve University men's tennis team, ranked fifth in Division III, continued its undefeated start to the 2026 spring campaign with two more wins on Friday, defeating Kalamazoo College and Allegheny College, each by a 7-0 score, at the Mayfield Village Racquet Club in Mayfield, Ohio.

The Spartans improved to 6-0 with the two wins, while Kalamazoo fell to 0-2 and Allegheny dropped to 5-3.

  • CWRU finished the day a combined 5-1 in doubles matches and 12-0 in singles contests.

  • Twelve different players won a singles match for the Spartans on Friday.

  • Sophomores Leon Chen and Jon Totorica were the only two CWRU players to win two doubles matches, picking up a victory in each of the two contests on Friday.

  • Salazar Garza improved to 11-2 in singles matches this year with his win on Friday, his seventh straight.

  • Chen and Totorica improved to a team-best 11-2 together in doubles matches this year.
