Five members of the Case Western Reserve University wrestling team advanced to the second day of the prestigious Pete Willson-Wheaton Invitational on Friday at King Arena in Wheaton, Illinois, on the campus of Wheaton College.
After competition wrapped on Friday, CWRU ranked eighth in the team standings out of 30 schools with 65 points.

- Martinez won his 130th career bout, tying for second on the program leaderboard with Mike Sanchez. He also pinned the 40th opponent of his career, increasing his total to 41
- With his second technical fall, Alizio recorded the 10th of his career. He also earned his 30th career pin
- Keane, who leads the team with 31 wins, claimed the squad's pin lead with his 12th of the campaign
